Dolores R. Gresham, TN State Representative District 94

Dolores Gresham, an active community advocate, is the State Representative for District 94. This district encompasses Fayette County, rural Hardeman County, and southern Tipton County. She serves on the Agriculture and the Education Committees in the House and is Secretary of the House Republican Caucus.

Ms. Gresham was selected Citizen of the Year 2000 by the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. She was also voted the C. P. Boyd Award by her peers in the UT Martin WestStar Leadership Class of 2000. The Boyd prize is the only award given annually and recognizes the participant’s leadership and service to the people of West Tennessee.

Ms. Gresham has served as Director on the Board of the Fayette Haywood Enterprise Community, the board of the Southwest Tennessee Community College Foundation, the Local Workforce Investment Board, the Fayette County Forestry Association, and the Fayette County Foster Care Review Board.

She has also served as president of the Board, Fayette County Chamber of Commerce, Tennessee Cattlewomen’s Association, and Fayette Cares. She is a member of the Fayette County and Tipton County Livestock Associations, the Tennessee Farm Bureau, and is a Life Member of the National Rifle Association, and the National Skeet Shooting Association. She is also a member of the Republican Party Organizations of Fayette, Hardeman and Tipton Counties.

An active member of the St. Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, she served on the Pastoral Council as Coordinator of Religious Formation Programs from 1989-2000.

Her education includes a BA from the University of the Incarnate Word, an MA from Loyola New Orleans, and an MSA from George Washington University.

Dolores and her husband, Will, live on their farm east of Somerville and until this past year, managed the Somerville Livestock Market for ten years. Both she and her husband retired from the United State Marine Corps in the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
